Cut only what you need to get this to fit through the firewall. This is
very close to the gas pedal. I had to move the gas pedal over slightly, which in turn makes it too close to the clutch and
brake pedals. I heated up the arms with a torch and bent them to the left for more clearance. You will have to make two bends
in each pedal to make them sit straight, otherwise you will have crooked pedals. The 944 has a hydraulic clutch, where as
the golf has a cable. I used a clutch master cylinder from a toyota pickup only because it was laying around. The 944 clutch
cylinder picks up its fluid from the brake reservoir so I chose not to use it. You will have to brace the firewall because
of the pressure from pushing in the clutch pedal is going to make it flex. You will also have to extend the arm coming off
of the clutch pedal becuse of where the master cylinder has to mount now, further to the left. And of course your going to
have to do alot of custom fabrication getting this all to work together. You could always use an aftermarket clucth and brake
pedal setup. I chose to keep it looking as stock as possible and also keep the costs down.
